The difference between the two: Double Taps- the second shot is taken as soon as sights settle back on target; a Controlled Pair- two aimed shots, (just taken as fast as one can), with deliberate aiming in between. When to employ either one should be based on the distance to the threat. (Which ever method ensures getting two hits into the threat).
